Major Blow to Khalistani Terror: 3 Terrorists Killed in UP Encounter
Decades-Long Wait Ends: 3 Sikh Terrorists Neutralized in Single Operation
New Delhi
In a significant breakthrough, security forces have dealt a major blow to Khalistani terrorists, killing three alleged terrorists in a single encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district. This operation is a testament to the effectiveness of the joint efforts between Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police in combating extremist organizations.
The three terrorists, identified as Gurvinder Singh (25), Virender Singh alias Ravi (23), and Jaspreet Singh alias Pratap Singh (18), were part of the banned Khalistan Commando Force and were accused of throwing grenades at a police post in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The police seized two AK-47 rifles, two Glock pistols, and several live rounds from their custody, highlighting the seriousness of the threat they posed.
What’s striking about this encounter is that it’s been decades since three Sikh alleged terrorists were killed in a single operation. This achievement underscores the tireless efforts of the security forces in keeping India safe from extremist elements.
However, it’s also alarming to note that all three terrorists were of young age, with the youngest being just 18 years old. This raises concerns about the radicalization of young individuals and the need for proactive measures to prevent the spread of extremist ideologies.
The encounter was a result of a joint operation between Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police, who received a tip-off about the presence of the terrorists in Puranpur. The police cornered the accused, and in the ensuing encounter, the three terrorists were killed. A probe has been launched into the entire incident, and the foreign connections of the terrorists are being investigated.
This significant success is a tribute to the bravery and dedication of the security forces, who are working tirelessly to protect India from the threats of extremist organizations.
